As designers and developers, we use many different applications and tools in our everyday lives. This group is a constantly changing, continuously morphing toolbox that enables us to get to the desired end product of any project as efficiently and easily as possible. The center piece of this group, for this crowd, is undoubtedly the code editor.
I had a conversation recently with a friend of mine regarding development environments and more specifically the code editor of choice. I made a comment about a new cool little trick that I had learned with my editor and got a response to the effect of, “yeah, that’s nice and all, but I still like my way of accomplishing that same thing better.” An of course, this involved a different editor. His editor of choice.
